Job Title: Machine Operator Job Description

This role operates and sets up production machinery in a manufacturing environment, ensuring equipment runs safely, efficiently, and according to work orders. The position involves performing changeovers, minor troubleshooting with hand and power tools, loading machines with correct materials, and supporting basic quality checks while consistently following all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

+ Set up production machines according to specifications and assist with changeovers between different products or materials.

+ Read and interpret work orders to ensure machines are loaded properly with the correct materials and settings.

+ Utilize hand and power tools to perform minor troubleshooting and adjustments on production equipment.

+ Adjust machine speeds, alignments, and other parameters to maintain efficient and accurate production output.

+ Monitor equipment during operation to identify issues early and take corrective action when necessary.

+ Assist with minor quality checks and inspections to verify that products meet required standards.

+ Follow all safety protocols and procedures within the manufacturing environment to maintain a safe workplace.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area around production machinery.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement efforts.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in machine operation or general production within a manufacturing environment.

+ Ability to set up and operate production machinery safely and efficiently.

+ Proficiency using hand tools and power tools for minor equipment troubleshooting and adjustments.

+ Ability to read, understand, and follow work orders and production instructions.

+ Skill in adjusting machine speeds, alignments, and material feeds to optimize production.

+ Attention to detail when performing minor quality checks and inspections.

+ Strong commitment to following safety protocols and maintaining a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Any education or certifications related to the manufacturing industry are considered a bonus.

+ Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment maintenance and operation.

+ Ability to work collaboratively in a production team setting.

+ Willingness to learn new machinery and processes as production needs evolve.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $49920.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
