What You'll Do

As a Laundry Tunnel Operator, you'll play a key role in ensuring linens and textiles are processed efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and production performance.

Primary Responsibilities

+ Operate industrial tunnel washers, dryers, and related production equipment.

+ Load linens and textiles into washers while ensuring proper batch weights and classifications.

+ Select and enter correct wash formulas based on product requirements.

+ Add cleaning agents, detergents, dyes, and bleaches according to established procedures.

+ Monitor equipment performance and respond to alarms or operational issues.

+ Assist with sorting and classifying soiled linens for processing.

+ Generate and maintain production reports and count sheets.

+ Accurately track production volumes and processing data.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

+ Follow all company safety procedures while working around industrial equipment and cleaning chemicals.

+ Support team members and assist in achieving daily production goals.

+ Ability to follow safety procedures and operating instructions.

+ Ability to work safely in hot, humid, and industrial production environments.

+ Flexibility to work varying schedules when needed.

Physical Requirements

This is an active position that requires:

+ Standing and walking for the majority of the shift.

+ Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.

+ Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.

+ Ability to push and pull laundry carts weighing approximately 250 pounds, with some carts exceeding 600 pounds.

+ Ability to maintain productivity throughout a physically demanding shift.

Experience working with industrial chemicals, detergents, dyes, or cleaning solutions is a plus.

Work Environment

This position is based in a large-scale industrial laundry facility with automated production equipment and machinery. Employees work in an environment that may include:

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
